As thread starter Iâd appreciate a PM Tony.
And what have you ever achieved mate?
As i understand it you glory in both British military techniques and the torture of animals.
In my extremely humble opinion this gives you zero right to preach to anyone on the standards in this shitty little country of ours so i would suggest you fuck off and die for yourself.
Cracking anecdote Huckleberry mate.
Jameson do one in Smithfield I think.
What do you expect, he is a uncle tom of the highest order
Care to back that up ?
Wexford Senior Hurling Team 2001-2004
Great players and characters were on that team - Damien Fitzhenry, Darragh Ryan, Liam Dunne, Larry OâGorman, Adrian Fenlon and others.
2001: I sometimes think about Rory McCarthyâs wide from right in front of the goal 20 yards out in the last attack of the drawn game against Tipperary in the semi-final. We would obviously have beaten Galway in the final too; youâd always expect to beat Galway in a final. The replay was a comedy of errors - Tony Dempsey telling Mitch Jordan at half time to get out in front of the corner back for the second half only for Mitch to reply that heâd been sent off late in the first half; Davy Morris deciding to ignore the instructions coming via walkie talkie from Liam Griffin, who had been training the team and calling the shots behind the scenes that year, because he resented him coming in and taking over.
2002: Very narrow Leinster Final defeat that year; I think it was 0-19 to 0-17 and the squad was as fit as it ever had been. However, the provincial loser was required to play 7 days later and Tony Dempsey spent the week in between games railing against the perceived unfairness of it all and was in the papers and on radio all week long. There was a complete lack of focus on the game as a result, with so much negative energy wasted prior to the game even being played. We were beaten before it started and Clare eased past us.
2003: The drawn semi-final with Cork was one of the great games of the last decade. I think we were 6 points up after around 45 minutes and we were 5 points down about 10 minutes later. Quality goal by Rory McCarthy to level it at the death but there was still that bit of regret afterwards because we were in a winning position during the game. We really needed to consolidate after half time and keep them at bay but they got a run on us. Horrific refereeing by AodhĂĄn MacSuibhne in the replay but we were well beaten all the same.
2004: Talk of unrest with John Conranâs management preceded the championship but then we went and beat Kilkenny after testing out a new gameplan in challenge game victories against Cork and Galway. We decided to repeat the same tactics against Cork in the semi-final in typical Wexford fashion, even though Cork had witnessed it at first hand themselves and presumably watched our game against Kilkenny. They were ready and battered us. At least we got a Leinster championship out of it and it was pleasing for the likes of Darragh Ryan, who wasnât around in 1996 or 1997.
The likes of Dunne, OâGorman and Larry Murphy were reaching the end back then and Darragh Ryanâs injuries were restricting him badly so we were weakened after that year while Cork and then Kilkenny took the game to a new level and weâre now languishing as also rans.
But, in conclusion, we should have won the 2001 All Ireland Final and we were in a great position to reach another final in 2004. These were missed opportunities.
September 2010⌠Removing Link from the Celeb spotting thread.
I had a chance to purchase a fine greyhound about a year ago but between this and that, circumstances outside my control conspired against me and i missed my opportunity. I think about it most evenings.
Has it been successful since, Dunph?

Yes, as i expected he wouldâŚ
Bandage?
You called, SS**?
I have merged Bandages new thread into SS** original one for ease of use, i hope this is acceptable to everyoneâŚ
I was hoping youâd leave the other thread up Bandage and we could have had a VHS v Betamax style battle for supremacy.
I hope you cut and pasted your Wexford stuff to add in here.
Excellent moderating.
Very efficient, Dunph, superb housekeeping.
Everybodyâs happy.
A very good adjudication by Dunph hereâŚ
