I wouldnt class it as bandwagoing as I had no interest in the sport.
Bandwagoning would be a man parading in all sorts of sports apparel like say a Munster jersey and then in recent times sporting a Connacht jersey.
Coming into the superbowl with very little knowledge of either team (bar of course who Tom brady was) would not constitute bandwagoning as one would not have been aware that there was a bandwagon to climb aboard.

Hold on now, you knew it was the final, yes? And then picked one of the teams in the final to support, theoretically one of the best two teams. Is that not jumping on a successful bandwagon? You had somewhat valid grounds based on spending the summer in New York (where really you should have supported the jets)
