The Greatest Bands/Artists of All Time

Brian Eno

Kylie Minogue

Great news for all music lovers.

I love the way nobody has mentioned The Beatles yet for fear of being obvious.

The Beatles.

They are a given. The likes of Thraw and Farmer turn their nose up at em, but the beatles changed the face of music- they inspired all the great bands of the 70s/80s - they don’t get enough credit for their engineering feats in the studio either.

Elvis and Michael Jackson - two great black musicians.

I think Lennon’s stuff was far superior but I think he might have died about 10 years later.

Do any wappers make the grade? Dre? Jay Z? - Not a fan of the chocolateface slang myself.

Jackson managed to combine some astounding stuff with some atrocious stuff.

Tupac Amaru Shakur for me

Be running up that road, be running up that hill…

I have loved Daft Punk more or less since they came on the scene. Three top albums and one ok one.

He was ahead of his time, best pop artist of all time.

You west side bitch nigger- Next time I see you I’ll be spitting bullets - East side mother fuckers is where it is at… I think I got that right anyway… @glasagusban will be along with his pants down around his kness and blunt to correct me.

I’d expect farmer to come in here and make the point that he was both ahead of his time and behind his time.

Steve Winwood

East side for lyricism and storytelling, I can’t wrong you there.

It was all a dream.

U2 are comfortably up there.
Jimi Hendrix - revolutionised guitar music, the greatest guitar player of all time.
Guns ‘N’ Roses - did the hole kick ass rock ‘n’ roll band thing better than anybody.
The Cure - incredible songs.
Prince - a genius.
