I see a lot of dopes advocating for SUVs to be banned but I’ve yet to see them define just exactly they consider one to be?

I’d consider a Toyota Rav 4 or a Hyundai Tucson and their level entry shit-boxes SUVs’.
The likes of the Toyota Landcruiser or VW Tourag are Jeeps. It’s basically 3/4/5l V 2l or lower.
Think knockout championship versus FBD league opener.

demand for SUVs didnt come from consumers, car companies marketing increased the demand & the reality is the vast majority dont need a SUV

If get where you’re goung with this but the vast majority of 2/3 child families I see struggle to even fit into an SUV in they’re going any distance over 10k.
Rather than ban them I think it woukd make more sense to try and make it so that they can only be electric or something like that. This would be to he introduced at international level in order to have an impact on the industry.

needing a SUV to transport 3 kids is (and i dont say this lightly) quite frankly balderdash.
Isofixs take up a lot of room. If you had 3 kids it would be hard to see where you would fit the 3rd in a standard sized car. But I agree with the general consensus that SUVs are everywhere when they dont need to be.

This is where we differ.
If I’m heading on holiday in Irekand over Easter. There is zero chance of me fitting the three boys, herself and our luggage for the week into a regular sized car. That’s accounting for the roof box too.
Even on a normal day out we’d be tightly packed in, more so if we bring the boys bikes.
There were no electric options when we were investing. I’m hoping that changes when we eventually replace it.
