The whole politcal journalist set are embarrassing on Twitter, one upping each other with shite quips they find hilarious in a big anorak circle jerk
They all looks like nerds and geeks, probably because that is what they are.
Only seeing this now. Eamon Ryan dancing in his bear feet. that man would do anything for a vote.
Ah his feet don’t look that big.
I wonder what song he is keeping rhythm to in his mind. Maybe Sweet Caroline or something like that.
His shoes were eaten by wolves
Oh dear
Strange that the young greens and queer greens don’t understand the mother and baby homes issue @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy

The Greens are burning up
It’s a sensitive subject and complex too. Colm Keenas q&a in the Times very good
Keena is a proper journalist
The Queer Greens?
I had to Google that one.
It is absolutely abhorrent how certain elements within SF are using this issue to stir up a frenzy with their less well informed membership.
@Little_Lord_Fauntleroy The Sunday Times reporting there has been a mass exodus of Green Party members at a local level since the mother and baby homes issue.
Last year the UCC Greens were the largest political society on campus, this year they couldn’t get enough members to be registered as a society.
Yes. There is a divide alright. Younger people seem disillusioned as they feel let down on social issues and by going into coalition with FFG.
I think this was bound to happen once we went into the coalition but personally I feel people who voted for greens would be disappointed if they didn’t enter Government and get policies implemented
@Rocko would be more clued in than me on this
The progress made on bike lanes over last six months has been fantastic. A lot of Green Party members probably don’t get the art of compromise at the heart of politics and indeed life.
Yeah a fair few of those who left weren’t great fits for the party. And many who left over the mother and baby homes issue probably didn’t understand it. Which isn’t to say that they handled it well but all the nuance was lost among emotional posts that had little to do with recent developments.
There’s an argument that there is too much disruption from those disaffected and they’d be better off outside the party and the party would be better off without them. But you still have a large bloc of more establishment Greens who are opposed to this government and that’s certainly disruptive.
I don’t think the party are too concerned with losing Saoirse or Lorna Bogue or people like that. They could do without the loss of young membership but that wasn’t really translating into votes and representation anyway.
@Rocko and @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy circling the bikes with the big front bucket for bringing your children around in an unsafe manner in a big way here.
