There was a report during the week that all the increases in renewables have been matched by increased consumption from data centres. So essentially we’re at standstill in increased renewable energy in the rest of the economy. That’s another FG policy in action there for you.

Heart warming story incoming. Burning a bit of Christmas cardboard today and a few of the neighbours usually parttake also. There are new neighbours in the area, South Dublin types as it’s a holiday home. The X5 pulls up today anyway as the bonfire is kicking off and I braced myself for an argument about burning rubbish but I was wrong; I smiled as I see Lucy opening the boot and bringing her batch of cardboard with her and lovely bottle of wine to accompany it.
A pleasant conversation ensued as the flames rose higher.
