Has its Leinster equivalent started?
Thurles CBS v Blackwater Community School in Goatenbridge on the first Wednesday of November is a classic Harty Cup fixture.
Not an ideal venue for Harty Cup fare unless it has been developed in some way in the past 10 years. Literally on the side of the Knockmealdowns. I donât believe there is any seating or stand either.
Ardfinnan would have been a perfect venue.
Ardfinnan is a football pitch.
Goatenbridge wonât have any 2 point arcâs or motorway lines going down the centre of the field.
Does it have 45âs?
Sure thereâll be no one at it
Probably not but schools usually bring a busload or two of students to these things; Thurles probably arenât bothering this time
It will but I have no issue with that.
Thereâll be a serious class of spectator in attendance.
I played Dean Ryan Cup in Ardfinnan many moons ago
It has

Next week
Nenagh beating Ard Scoil.
Its the weakest AS team in 19 years.
Nenagh will give them a game of it
30 snipers in cooper helmets going at it. Tipp have so many hurlers coming they might have to go down the Ballygunner route and enter a B team in the All Ireland in a few years.
Harty Cup Results Round 2

Our Ladyâs Templemore 3-12, St Josephâs Tulla 1-21
GaelcholĂĄiste Mhuire an Mhainistir Thuaigh 2-21, CBC Cork 2-19
St Flannans College Ennis 3-26, Cashel CS 1-11
De La Salle Waterford 0-25, ColĂĄiste CholmĂĄin Fermoy 2-11
CBS Midleton 3-15, Clonmel High School 0-20
Thurles CBS 2-29, Blackwater CS Lismore 0-7
I actually watched the first fifteen minutes of Thurles v lismore and it was a fairly even game but Thurles were scoring everything whilst Lismore missed a lot. Turned it off at 2-5 to 0-2 and over to Nenagh v ASR.
Nenagh are good, have a fair goal threat in Eoghan Doughan, Hackett, Billy o Brien & Joe O Dwyer.
ASR did dominate the third quarter but never looked like getting the goals necessary to real in Nenagh.
You left out a game there.
