Christmas is about:
Death
Impending death
Illness
Loneliness
Depression
Hospital
Botched operations in hospitals leading to death (in my extended family anyway)
Stress
Unnecessary financial loss
Obnoxious behaviour
Selfishness
Arguments
Fights
People kicking holes in doors
Unwanted presents
Passive aggressive behaviour though the buying of presents you know will be unwanted
Passive aggressive behaviour hogging the television
Traffic jams
Standing on buses while having flu
Blocked bowels
Farting
SHIT MUSIC
I can definitely see why lads wouldn’t like it . It can be hard depending on ones circumstances. I had grown bored of it but I appreciate it an awful lot more now
We’ll suffer through it for the happiness of others lads.
Not for me either because of recent bereavements close to the holidays and the stress of it all but the relief when Christmas Day is done without issue is a great feeling.
It’s only a day. Suffer through it, don’t take much notice of anything that goes on in or around it and don’t feel too sorry for yourself. Onward. It’ll be mid January before you know it, knee deep in work and the regular hum drum and you’ll be thinking jesus I’d love a couple of days off.
I tend to dislike this time of year but there’s no point making it worse by thinking about how much I dislike it.
I think 2013 was the last Christmas I had that wasn’t completely shit.
2014 Impending death and DEATH
2015 Ruined by a tooth abscess
2016 Ruined by a tooth needing to be pulled
2017 Illness and general shitness
2018 Illness and ambulances and hospital
2019 Illness and ambulances and hospital
2020 Illness and ambulances and hospital and impending death
2021 General shitness
2022 Suicide attempts and being locked up in hospital
2023 General shitness and suicidal ideation
2017 and 2021 are about the best oif that utterly shit bunch.
Would you not do something about it? Plenty people go away on holidays for it. I do the same for New Years as New Years in Ireland is the biggest load of shite.
