The Liverpool Echo have rubbished this story today- Up your bollox, Bandage!

John Thompson, once of Forest, retired yesterday. His story is worth checking out. Basically was playing a friendy game for Mansfield in pre-season 2011. One of the opposition strikers was a psychopath and shoved him into the advertising hoardings, breaking his nose and left a “wound” needing 60 stitches. He also stamped on a couple of other players and both those lads needed stitches too. Some very nasty pictures of it. Thompson said he’s never mentally recovered and being a centre-half he was getting panic attacks going into games and shirking challenges etc. He’s only 31 and won 3 caps for us.

I hope the lad who injured him breaks both his legs horribly very soon and dies destitute in the near future.

I wouldn’t expect that to happen anytime soon given the lack of success of your last such wish.

60 stitches? Ouch. I think my biggest fear in life is someone attacking my beautiful face and inflicting permanent damage on it.

By rights that useless heap of shit should be playing astro-league level and I’d be able to do him myself.

Which one

No Laois man died for Ireland- Just remember that!

Really?

My pet hate.

The Thompson story is a bit sad. The lad who injured him also injured 3 other lads in the same game and it was just a preseason friendly!

Unbelievable story. I’m surprised Thompson wouldn’t try to sue him. Yer man clearly went into the game looking to maim as many of the opposition as he could. That horrible hun cunt Dunc and Disorderly Ferguson went to jail for less.

Jesus @Tassotti get home out of there sounds like an awful place

The UK needs to ban knives.

No - only fully automatic ones.

They can’t be trusted with them.
They should be allowed plastic sporks though, we don’t want them eating soup with their fingers

knives don’t kill people, people kill people

Sporks don’t kill anybody
