The Joe McDonagh Cup incorporating Christy Ring, Nicky Rackard and whoever else

I think that should be

The Leinster Championship is going to be some farce again next year

That’s farcical

My god a free for Offaly?

Ref is shtone useless

it wont , the relegation battle battle between the Carlow, Antrim and Westmeath will be epic

after saying that no doubt Offaly will win now!

Offaly placed ball attempts have been pathetic

Offaly can’t afford to be missing frees.

Carlow are liable to do something mental and get two lads sent off in a minute.

Far from over

In fairness that’s a battle Dublin could easily get pulled into as well. The bottom of the group could be absolutely epic with the top two playing the inevitable snoozefest.

The Joe McDonagh promotion battle would be epic as well with both Offaly and Wexford involved

Conor Lawlor going well at full-back for Carlow for a lad who’d have played very little hurling up until last year. He was a mainstay on the football team for years and just tipped away at a bit of intermediate hurling with Carlow Town.

Couldn’t happen to a bigger bunch of cunts! Hon Carlow.

Wheres their good free taker? Cahill is it?

A revitalised young Offaly side against an ageing but experienced and wiley Wexford side in next years Joe McDonagh final will be box office.

Laois could end up beating the both of them.

Joe McDonagh is box office

The GAA tinkering with structures every year is most annoying but going to Liam MacCarthy, Joe McDonagh, Christy Ring & Nicky Rackard has been excellent.

Who’d have thought teams playing others of the same standard would lead to exciting games.

The football championship needs to go the same way, three or four tiers and not just two.

They’d probably get away with 3 tiers. Top 12, mid 12 and bottom 10. It would make 2nd tier more desirable to win. Relegate 2 up and down each year. Maybe 2 finalists in mid 12 play in a preliminary qtr final for Sam Maguire.

The current hurling championship format is excellent. A way to go yet, but Antrim, Westmeath and Carlow all operating next year at the top level would be a sign it’s working too.

Offaly beginning to turn the screw here.

Awful banter.

No Ger, he’s talking about ‘98.
