Do you see them winning a county in the next few years ?? I think they could . And if they will 1 .
They certainly have the tools. If you look through their team, virtually all of them have played inter-county at some level.
I always felt that their biggest failing was the small space between both ears. They have never had the mentality for it. They’ve suffered from changing management teams far too often and some of those managements have been disastrous. I remember seeing them in a county semi-final about 6 years ago when they should have beaten Adare up a stick and contrived to lose in injury time. They must have had about 12 people on the line, all of them shouting contradictory instructions.
They should have had a few won by now. I’d have my doubts about them but you never know - if they were to win one they could win a few of them. Putting consistent performances back to back is another of the many questions of them.

Do they really? I think people are unfair on Doon over the last while, calling them bottlers etc. They’re not. To me they haven’t had the same level of talent as any of the three teams ahead of them yet, not by by a long shot. They’re a coming team though.

I think you are being harsh . Up to a few years back I am not sure they had enough real quality to win a championship . They never really had the county star to really propel them . They had chances but always fell a bit short . They for example were unlucky v the Well in 2000.
Over the last few years they now have players on a successful Lk team and seem to have a few on nearly every underage team .
They lost a couple of recent finals heavily but to an awesome Na P team & remember last year were missing English and DOD in final .
The few years will be huge for them and if Na P plateau in expect them to take advantage . As you say getting the right management will be huge .
Adam English will get Doon to the promised land some day.
