The League of Ireland thread

Pity he wasnā€™t able to do it in a big league, like Cyprus

When you see cloggers like Glenn Whelan have a steady career in premier league and with Ireland while Jack Byrne is playing with Shamrock Rovers i question do i know anything about Soccer. Byrne a class above Whelan for me but obviously his career does not match my thinking.

some people are homebirds mate

Be starting for Ireland for me but needs to move club surely.

You do realise a team with 11 jack Byrnes would not function very well

Also Glenn Whelan applied himself very well and deserved his career

Glenn Whelan could do what he does against any opposition, heā€™d look the same against Finn Harps or France. Teams need a Glenn Whelan.
Itā€™s well known that Roy Keane was about 5th best player on his own (admittedly brilliant) schoolboys team,

Higgins is a terrible manager, only tolerated because he is one of their own. Failure after failure with a huge budget. Long may it last

Cathal Oā€™Sullivan is the truth lads.
