actually, a cup of tea, sipped gently with that ibropruen can make a world of difference, i find the stomach finds it hard to reject tea, drank at slow pace
Chew some ice cubes helps.
If you any brandy in the house take a sip… it will help redice the back flipping your belly is at.
Codeine. Trust me.
Lethal stuff. Was put on co-codomol after I broke the hand 3 years ago. Floated through 5 days of work. Strangest feeling I’ve ever experienced.
If you can get hold of them they are the only hangover cure that actually works. They make you feel well enough to eat and rehydrate as well. Take two and it will get you through the day.
I was the same yesterday. I think I managed to puke up the last of the bile in my stomach at about 4. I managed to walk down to the pharmacy to buy some remedies then. I put a dioralyte, 3 solpadeine, and a berocca in a pint of water -worked wonders, almost immediate relief.
Do you just mean solpadeine or a stronger form of codeine?
Stronger if you can get it. Normal solpadeine has, iirc 5mg of codeine and 500mg of paracetamol per tablet. There is then, I think a preparation co-paramol perhaps? That can be bought over the counter, but I think you need to speak to the pharmacist, that has 9 or 10 mg of codeine per tablet. I would take three of either of the above, preferably the stronger ones. ( the max recommended dose would be two tabs every six hours I think).
There are then the real McCoy, with 30 mg of codeine and 500mg or paracetamol per tablet. These are only available on prescription, though GPs dish them out all over the place. Two of these babies is what you really need if you are bad.
Basically, try and get somewhere between 20mg and 60mg of codeine on board, though taking more than 1500mg of paracetamol at once is a bad idea, as is taking more than 4000 mg in 24 hours, as it is bad for your liver. As few as 10 paracetamol tablets at once can do irreversible liver damage.
The codeine is where it’s at, and rehydrate as per glasagusban above.
I have a fairly heavy hangover today. Started at 2pm yesterday and had to shell out £70 for a taxi home at 6 this morning. Ended up at a centreparks on the outskirts of Nottingham.

A bottle of Cordial
2 litres of milk
A bag of Fruit Pastilles
A bag of Rhubarb and Custard sweets

A large baguette
