Which disk?

Extensive sitting earlier this week has caused a varicose vein i have to clot and harden, painful as fuck. My attending physician says theres nowt i can do but elevate it and take painkillers. He also said im about 30 years too young to get this. Anyone qualified to pass comment?

Get well soon, buddy.

Thanks pal. Excellent win for the young wexford lions there, good scoring rate in a 60 min game. Im also delighted gaagos first championship action will be the model county hopefully doing a job on the evil empire next week.

L4 / L5, not sure which one is worse and causing the issues. They’re both fucked

Jaysus. Right now rest for 8 hours, difene if you can stomach it, tablets only, spray or gel are useless. Then if you can get into a pool walk around it until you are bored senseless, maybe sit in a jaccuzzi too if its not painful and if your muscles are in spasm. But dont get in a bsth. After a few days, or weeks, start constant core work.

Did the pool walk earlier, worked a treat, might try and do it again later. Would a Sauna be any good?

It’s not the worst episode I’ve ever had, at least I’m relatively mobile and not confined to lying lying on the floor in agony

No a sauna wouldnt be any use for this. Probably good for your general health though. Whatever you do, dont stretch for a few days. Your muscles will tighten around your spine to protect it when the nerve is touched, just have yo relax them without stretching which weakens and overburdens the muscle. Take a muscle relaxant or hit the pool

Alcohol pain relief?

Can’t hurt

If it helps you relax no harm. If it makes you think you can dance your way back to good health, maybe not

It’s hard to fully relax when you have kids hanging out of you and little sympathy from the wife cause you didn’t do your exercises to strengthen your core

Only if you can’t swim.

Actually it’s a great cure.

don’t come on here looking for sympathy. you came here early looking for tips to prevent a few days pain, and now you want to go drinking, all while your core stability remains neglected. She’s well within her rights to throw a plate at you.

Congratulations mate.

Any herb floating around where you are? Great for pain relief. Get well soon pal.

Also, give early warning to airline and airport that you’ll need assistance on journey home.

+1. Most airport operators have excellent passengers with reduced mobility (“PRM”) services these days. @Fran should definitely be accommodated on the PRM buggy if he contacts his airline in advance.
