San Diego are one game behind Denver, with 2 to go. But they need Denver to lose both, as if they finish level, Denver have the advantage over their tie breaking scenarios (better division record). Denver play Buffalo away, which is tough, but managable, and then home to Kansas. Kansas could do anything. Orton will be the QB after being dumped in favour of Tebow, so he will be out to put hem down, but I cant see it. San Diego have to go to Detroit and then go to Oakland, neither an easy game.
Gway outta that. You only got a bit of interest in it recently cos you saw a bit of money in it Iâd say.
SF took down the steelers fairly handy there. Still missing a lot of chances in the red zone but Smith did lead a brilliant touchdown drive in the second half that was crucial. Their defence is outstanding really but Steelers should have hooked Ben Roethlisberger long before the end. Clearly injured he got smashed a few times late on.
yeah its a good insight to him alright. nothing wrong with the guy, just he is being completley and utterly overhyped. he is an average QB who is a decent guy and a good leader. but all the noise about his miracle comebacks is a bit OTT. if it wasnt for defence, a great kicker and opponents fooking up so much, he wouldnt have an oppertunity to make a couple of plays at the death. granted, he got it done in a few games when it counted and credit to him for that. and credit Denver for re writing the play book to use college plays and options rather than a standard NFL QB playbook, they make it work for him.
I always felt that the Bronoâs run would come to end against one of the elite teams.
A little bit suprising that it was a second tier team that finally turned them over.
EmâŚit was the defence that let him down on Sunday in his first loss in seven. Tebow had the Patâs all over the place in the two quarters.
Why do you fear something that is different to the normal?
Thatâs a smashing video in fairness.
Watched that video earlier, itâs a cracker alright.
Tebow has done very well but Newton is the real sensation.
he had also lost to Detroit too Croppy, a hammering from them, again, when the defence isnt there to keep him in the game, he is lost. Thats the point, Tebow wont win games when it is up to him, he needs everything to be in place for him to win. Other good QBs can do it in spite of poor players or other things going wrong around them. Sure Brady is playing with by far the worst defence in the NFL, yet the Patritos are the top AFC team. And it was turnovers forced on Denver that cost them, especially in the second quarter. That fell on the offence and special teams more so than the defence.
And I dont fear Tebow, far, far from it. Whats to fear? Running around like a headless chicken and throwing balls into the dirt? I just think he is vastly over rated. A decent guy, a good worker, but isnt as nearly as skilled as a lot of other players.
Youâre not actually questioning his rushing are you? :shakefist:
I know he lost to Detroit but after that had a streak of six wins. If Tebow has proved anything itâs that he can get his team solidified and acting as a strong unit.
He has time to develop. Brady wasnât starting regularly for the Pats at the same age.
His rushing, to an extent, his throwing and the option play, most definitley
As I said, he seems a good leader, and that video with him chatting to Thomas emphasises that.
Not only was Brady starting regularily for the Patriots at the same stage, he also went on to win the superbowl and the MVP of that championship victory at the same stage as Tebow is now.
Very mean-spirited and catty remarks by Gman.
It took him until the fifth start of the season to actually get going though (thank you Wikipedia!). IN fairness I wasnât watching it again until this year so itâs not like Iâm going to have a highbrow debate based on facts with you.
Iâm just saying that youâre being mighty hasty to be questioning Tebowâs rushing game considering itâs got the Broncos into the play-off picture this year.
Was Bradyâs touchdown last Sunday not his first rushing touchdown in two years?
Very good video alright but I wonder was he putting a lot of stuff on because he knew he was miked (?) up.
Wathced 49ers and Steelers last night. 3rd time Iâve seen the 49ers and christ they have some defence. Steelers were probably put off a bit with the power outages and Big Benâs ankle but an impressive win for the homeside nonetheless.
Strikes me as the sorta fella who puts nothing on and is actually that kind. I mean isnt that the whole furore about him is, that he makes no apologies for what he is?
whats up Bandag? you seem in bad form coming into Christmas
He didnt start the first four games, hence his wiki stats look like he didnt get going til the 5th game. Kyle Orton was the starter, but he is more of a conventional throwing QB. The offensive line has had a serious reworking, and Denvers overall rushing game has improved imeasurably. This will also help the style of game Tebow uses. He plays a college/high school option, in that he will throw if he thinks it is on, or he will run if that seems better. He isnt like a rushing QB of the Vick/Newton ilk who are both athletic players who have great speed and can scramble and make a play out of nothing. Tebow is a good strong player, and can shake off players, but once a defence gets to grips with him, it can become very predictable. Even against the shite Patriots defence, once they eventually found out how to stop the run, there was very little to attack with.
Its not that I am questioning his rushing game, I am questioning him as a QB. He is adequate, but Denver will probably be the worst ranked team in the playoffs. The AFC west has been terrible this year.
As for Bradys first rushing TD? not sure it matters at all really. its not his job to run with the ball, and he doesnt do it. He throws enough touchdowns without having to rely on running in for them as well.
As MBB, I dont think it is put on. He seems to be totally like that, and has been the whole way through college as well. you wont find anyone who met him to have a bad word to say about him, that he takes time to meet his fans and remembers them if he met them before, like the case with the kid at that Bears game. His religious shite is way OTT, but I think Iâd prefer that he is a decent guy compared to other players who are big drug dealers for example. (Hurd with Chicago getting done this week)
Niners have a serious defence alright. The new coach this year is a brother of the Ravens coach, so both from the same mould and defence is a huge key to their games. Niners could shock the Saints or Packers yet.
That Chicago guys story was quality in fairness, no dabbling in the industry for him, oh no, Kingpin all the way.
