Had a look at the beer selections of Aldi, Lidl, Supervalu and Tesco respectively today. Tesco seemed the best selection wise, but the vast majority was the same dodgy looking Irish stuff. Anything I should try?

I had around 8 (eight) pints of Cute Hoor last Thursday night on your recommendation. I was neither impressed nor appalled but I was pissing more regularly than usual during my pub visit.
It’s a middle of the road drink, pal…as I said… But most pubs have it. If you want a really nice ale I think Dungarven are lovely.
Kinnegar are the best Irish beers on the market. The rye ale and the IPA are beautiful, the red ale is lovely too. Lovely bottles as well.
