The Mac and Treatystones Beer Thread

I bought a box of Staropramen weeks ago in Lidl and most of it is still in the fridge, it used to be lovely but now it’s piss, I don’t know what’s happened

The missus will drink it away anyway :man_shrugging:

They seem to be always selling it off. It goes flat very quickly too

Asahi own it since 2016/17. Sure it could be brewed anywhere now.

It’s not as tasty as Pilsner Urquell. Maybe it’s nicer on draught

No it’s not as flavoursome.

Czechs themselves will say Urquell is the best

And they’d know

Was never a fan of Madri and now I know why. It also makes sense why it’s twice the price of local beers in Spain or the Canaries if it has to be imported from UK.

I’ve never tasted it…them Spanish beers are only good in 30.degree heat.

Agree. A cold San Miguel in 30 degrees is glorious. You’d order it back home then or pick up a few cans and tis like drinking dishwater

Are these the original bottles often drank off the shelf?

Great… I’ve never tried it.

Asahi is 12 bottles for 17 euro in Lidl at the moment. Lovely refreshing sup
