The Man Utd Thread

Should have made it more clear. Daniel Alves.

Regarding United signings this summer Alves and Villa would do nicely. ;)[/quote]

according to one of the tabloid/comics yesterday it said that villa wants to go to the arsenalā€¦

Wenger wouldnt spend that amount of cash on a player. 20 Million at least.

i agreeā€¦cant see arsenal breaking the bank for anyoneā€¦i would say he will be closer 30 millionā€¦i think he would be a great addition to any teamā€¦i know he turned liverpool down before going to valencia but would he go there now with torres his international partner playing great stuff thereā€¦

Reports of Man United signing Wes Brown to a 60k a week deal. I think he deserves a new deal. I think he has played in nearly every game and done a very good job this season. They also want to tie Carrick down to a longer deal. I rate Carrick highly. His vision for threading a pass is outstanding.

Is there anyone that plays for United that you donā€™t rate?

60k a week is a ridiculous amount of money to be giving Wes Brown. Thatā€™s about 3 times the money that Hinkel is on for example and Hinkelā€™s the better full back.

Farmer is trying to be a bully. Having a go at Shan at every turn lately.

Anyway. Has Brown done a good job this season. Yes. Heā€™s been a great servant for Utd and I wouldnā€™t begrudge him 60k.
Does Carrick have an eye for a pass(when he has the space of course http://www.thefreekick.com/board/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif). Yes.

Simple question Flanjo - no bullyingā€¦

Shan strikes me as the type of guy who wouldnā€™t criticise a single United playerā€¦

How exactly has Brown been a ā€œgreat servant?ā€ Heā€™s an average player, a bit out of his depth getting handsomely paid for turning up to play football every week. Not my idea of a great servant.

Heā€™s the definition of a great servant, much like David May was http://www.thefreekick.com/board/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif . Doesnā€™t look for plaudits. Gets on with his football quietly. Gives his all when heā€™s given his games. Canā€™t ask for much more from a player.

I dont rate Saha or Giggs at the moment. Tomasz Kuszczak is a player I think will leave Old Trafford in the summer.

1-0 down at half time to Blackburn, Santa Cruz with an easy goal after Vidic and Ferdinand messed up.

Dive from Rooney near the end of the half showed his frustration.

Ronaldo just smacked the post from the edge of the box.

Hereā€™s the goal so far by the way:

http://www.megavideo.com/?v=0FAI8762

Ronaldo just whacked the post there with a shotā€¦

Rooney and Ferguson going nuts about a challenge on him from Nelson when he clearly won the ball - see thatā€™s why I hate Unitedā€¦

Stop your whinging. Benitez and his players do the same. Stupid comment.

Jesus how did they not score there? Rooney was in twice on goal - second time rolled it for Ronaldo who was challenged (very well by Vogel) and Tevezā€™ shot is half stopped and then comes to a standstill on the goal-line.

Fucking hell. Two superb saves by Friedl from Rooney and Oā€™Shea and then Tevez equalises.
