Any musicians on here, whether they be full time, part time, hobbyists etc?
I have been playing the guitar since Christmas 1989 and have dabbled in the bass, mandolin and keyboards as well. Played covers and originals for years. Currently involved in an original music project out foreign but just for the craic at this stage.
I dropped the mandolin when I stopped gigging but might have another go at it, or a tenor guitar or short scale bouzouki in the new year.
I’ll buy it, providing it’s just cosmetic damage
As in I stopped playing
So it was beyond repair after it fell?
A few banjo players
I’d yank the odd chain now and again
Peruvian pan pipes
Very basic guitar.
I have an accoustic and a couple of electric guitars but it’s hard to get the motivation to improve.
I’ve never played in a band or pub setting but would accompany the parish choir at mass on occasion
Steamer
Yerra you bunch of rednecks The only instruments you fellas play is the skin flute.
Through him with him in him etc? Walk walk in the light etc?
Yeah that sort of stuff; Come to the Water, Lord of the Dance etc.
I used to do it at the school masses.
The daughter is in the choir so once it was known that I could play guitar I was roped along. Sometimes would do instrumental pieces accompanying uileann pipes, squeez box, piano and tin whistle players which is a bit of craic.
Trombone, trumpet, oboe, clarinet, piano, piano accordion, guitar, drums.
You’re basically the artane boys band
Yes all learned originally through school bands.
My older lad practising.
Good timing there. THE most important thing (to me anyways)
