Sorry to hear that - tough break when you were so far along the process. I’m sure something will land - the fact that few people are in the office means it’s much easier to justify hiring someone who is working remotely. Hang tough.

Right, the line for my next night on the town will be “Have you tried sex with a facemask on yet?” We’ll see how I get on with that.

Literally nobody is hiring here, there are millions of job openings but no activity going on to get them filled. Most places are in a wait and see mode.

That’s years away mate

It could have been better but you’ve a good attitude. You’ll click the next, bigger one.

A lot of offers were pulled here in March. Firms are starting to hire again though. A lot of people are afraid to change job. Better the devil you know.

Be a shite time to change jobs. How would you get into the swing of it sitting at home. Tis slow enough get up to speed when you are in the thick of it

We’re inducting people virtually since April. We’ve had people resigning during the probation period that have never met their teams!

We had a lad who just started who packed it in a month into the lockdown. Felt it wasn’t for him. Fair enough, but sure how the fuck would you know? :joy:

A lad in our place did the same. And his partner only had a child a few weeks before he packed it in.

Last I heard he’s still looking for work.

I once started a job. Left at lunch time and never returned. When you know, you know.

I did the same once, but it was Pizza Hut and I was college so I’m not sure it counts.
