Big Sam would be an excellent choice. Like the vast majority of the squad heâs english so he could relate to the players.
Heâs right about Delaney.
& he is wrong about Delaney
The lad that plays for Denmark?
Is that who he was talking about in the piece you utter cunt of a man?
Havenât read the thread so apologies if itâs been mentioned
- Why is Brian Kerr lambasting John Delaney on Newstalk?
- Are lads serious about wanting a LOI manager to take the top job?
well MON has done amazing at Norn Iron
Kerr has the highest win ratio if any Irish manager apparently. 18 wins in 33 games and just 4 losses. Suprised me when I saw the stat
He lost a couple of big ones but so did McCarthy. Ireland should have been at Euro 2000.
Fairly skewed by friendly wins and a small enough sample size as he was only in charge for one and a half campaigns. It was a tight group for WC2006 qualifying but we finished fourth behind both Switzerland and Isreal despite picking up a point in Paris.
They should even with a tough group, they blew it but you felt that the team was building and going in the right direction despite the late capitulation in Macedonia.
Getting out of a group with both Holland and Portugal who at the time had squads littered witg world class players still doesnât get the credit it deserves
Whatâs your argument against it? At least it would add a bit of intrigue and something different to the whole thing. If players canât motivate themselves to play for Kenny then get rid of them. Duffy and Brady are our only two players that we canât do without anyway IMO
Also as @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy said Michael O Neill came from the LOI
Wegner been sounded out apparently . Surely wouldnt do it but worth asking.
Is anyone even offering odds on him? I saw Francis Brennan at 500/1 but couldnât see Arsene Wenger.
Will I drop the Gaffer a mail?
Please do.
In fairness, Francis Brennan is a great mananger too. I shouldnât be surprised PP are offering odds for him to get the job.
