Great stuff by Seppi. Bye Bye Nick the greek.
Heâs my dark horse to win.
Cilic is my pick. Then Nick the Greek.
Nick getting a lot of unfair bad press for skipping the muck in Paris. Canât really blame him for the week thatâs in it. Iâd imagine his sole focus this week is on Madrid on Saturday night.
Kyrgios was due to play Cameron Norrie in the opening round at Roland Garros.
But the Australian has now pulled out with illness and will not compete at the French Open.
The 24-year-oldâs decision comes after he criticised the tournament on social media earlier in the week.
Kyrgios had been at Wimbledon, practising with Andy Murray, but he made no efforts to hide his disapproval of the clay surface.
âWhatâs going on,â Kyrgios said to his followers.
âIâm hitting with Andy Murray today.
âI think this [Wimbledon] is the best tournament in the world, look at this perfect green surface.
âGet rid of the clay, man. Who likes the clay it is so bad.
âThe fact that I am here right now and I have to go to Paris in a couple of days.
âThe French Open sucks compared to this place. Sucks. Absolutely sucks.â
Kyrgios has been shrouded in controversy in recent weeks after a dramatic exit from the Italian Open.
The world No 36 was facing Casper Ruud in Rome when he got annoyed by a member of the crowd.
He began ranting at an individual in the stands before throwing his racket and a chair onto the court.
Kyrgios then packed up his bags and defaulted the game but was heavily punished for that outburst.
The ATP released a breakdown of the penalties incurred by Kyrgios, which including a warning then three unsportsmanlike conduct violations.
In addition to a âŹ20,000 fine for those penalties, Kyrgios forfeits 45 ATP ranking points, all of his âŹ33,635 prize money and he must cover the cost of his hospitality during the tournament.
With his withdrawal from the French Open, it remains to be seen when the fiery Australian will return to the court.
A national embarrassment
Another giraffe pulls out!!!
+1.
Greece is full of these fucking weirdos.
Box office
Tennis is beginning to become an expensive pursuit for him.
Dickhead.
Nick Kyrgios seems sound
Nick the Yid through to the quarter final. Needs 5 sets to edge past Brandon Nakahima.
Next up Cristian Garin.
Aussie Nick doesnât relish the hot favourite role. He loves being the plucky upstart seeking to rattle the establishment. Itâs in his DNA.
This wonât end well for the boy from our nationâs capital.
Nick was giving his entourage the hair dryer treatment on court today for not giving him sufficient support.
Weâre gonna do it lads. A pity that Rafa chickened out though
Nickâs name might just be on the Cup.
Nick will put his 100% winning record on the line against Novak Djokovic in the final on Sunday. Heâs actually never even dropped a set to him.
Heâs in court every week that fella
First blood to Nick. He takes the first set 6-4.
