I saw the commodores playing in st canice’s hall dungiven about 10 years ago. It was totally surreal. The place was packed with the usual suspects. Hardly anyone even noticed or cared who the band was. One of the mcgonigles was blowing about lynch’s having won three titles in 5 years, then one of the mccloskeys remarked that it could have been four if some mcgonigle or other hadn’t chickened out of going for a dirty ball. The matter was calmly discussed for a while before both clans and their supporters headed outside to settle the matter…they all filed out past the commodores who were singing ‘once, twice, three times a lady’.
