I’m quite content to make do with hearsay. My mind will not be swayed on this matter.

Pay me, pay me, pay me my money down.

2 quick and easy ones:

€6m for hurling - http://www.independent.ie/sport/hurling/dublin-answer-6m-question-26759948.html

€9m for a new development centre - http://www.rte.ie/sport/gaa/other/2013/0607/455179-gaa-confirm-national-sports-campus-development/

the hurling one has obviously seen a turn around in activity there, no question, but a lot of work went into that. the development centre they are playing off as being a national centre and for the wider leinster region. me hole. its a freebie to the Dublin GAA to have a base that every other county has paid for themselves if they indeed have any training bases which a large majority dont have.

Fair play to Dublin to be able to get those kind of handouts, as well as the other money they can generate from elsewhere. its not to be slagged their ability to generate that level of investment, and can only be good for GAA in the capital. whilst it will create more of a separation between them and others, thats not their issue. its up to other counties to get the same sort of money and psonsorship if they can.
