Hurling is a far more difficult game Raven, its a huge compliment to the GAA that so many play it. Any gobshite can play soccerball and plenty do, about 300000 in Ireland at last count (source: ESRI report, statistics appendix, subsection “Gobshites playing soccerball in Ireland”).
This has been fun, can we get back to talking about the football championship now please?
Andy Moran and Alan Dillon won’t make the Connaught QF against Gaillimh on Sunday.

Hurling isnt a difficult game- get the ball , hit it - thats it - No skill or tactics.
Shinty is a much more skillful game (known in Ireland as ground hurling)and in reality is the traditional game of Ireland. The Hurling the GGA look after is really just a munster game and it has never spread throughout the county. The GGA fucked up by promoting air hurling ahead of the more universally played hurling

You’re reaching now mate, reaching like Bandage trying to reach a cross into the box.
Offaly senior football manager Emmet McDonnell has axed Ross Brady, Richie Dalton and Sean Pender from his squad following a breach of discipline.
The trio missed a training session earlier this month and have been removed from the panel, having failed to in form the management of their reasons for being absent.
It is highly unlikely that the players will feature again in McDonnell’s Championship plans this summer, with the Westmeath native key to lay down a ‘no nonsense’ policy in his initial months as the Faithfuls boss.
However, McDonnell is not ruling out a return to action for the players in the future.
“If players are showing the commitment to play for the county I won’t close the door,” he said.
McDonnell is expected to confirm his Championship panel today ahead of the Offaly’s Leinster SFC quarter-final against Kildare at Croke Park on June 1.
Gavin Shiel is ruled out of contention having played illegally for Tullamore in the Offaly Senior Football Championship.
Eoin Rigney has gone to America, but there is some good news with Johnny Brickland back in the frame having returned from injury.
