For all our tactical and selection problems and despite our inept and depresingly conservative management team a team of our ability should be well able to beat Galway.Galway needed a last minute goal to beat Waterford for crying out loud!The sad thing is that i think Cork have the players to beat anyone but i can’t see Counihan outsmarting three out of McGuinness Gavin Fitzmaurice and Horan to win the all ireland.
This years football championship has been very mediocre.
It only really starts at the quarter final stage unless one of the outsiders can spring a shock and win a provincial final. Most/all of the top five or six teams are not too bothered about winning a provincial title whatever they say.
