Surely Wenger will be sacked?

Unsackable pal.

“Spend some fucking money”, was the chant from Arsenal supporters when Aston Villa scored their third goal.

Really? Unsackable?

Pretty poor result today alright but credit to Villa also. The injury list is a worry plus Koscielny is now banned for a match so Wenger cannot hide from the fact that he has not strengthened the squad. Having to put Ramsey in Center Back today is a pretty low point in itself regardless of the result.

Really? I think he’s shakier than tinnion’s hands on your average weekday morning.

@briantinnion has a touch of alzheimer’s?

Fenerbache fans were letting fireworks off outside Arsenal squad’s hotel last night the scally wags.

Only one fit CB available in Mertesacker which means Bacary Sagna (who should be well rested having holidayed in Peurto Banus the same week as myself and Jermaine Jackson of the Jackson Five) will play center back.

I suspect this will be the team:

Szcesny
Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Sagna, Gibbs
Rosicky, Wilshere, Ramsey
Walcott, Giroud, Cazorla

Personally I’d drop Rosicky, stick Podolski on the wing and bring Cazorla back to midfield.

I’d take a 3-1 defeat at this stage.

Arsenal will be hijacking Erik Lamela’s move to THFC according to the ITK forums.

Koscielny is available tonight so should start.

I’m not too worried about this game as it looks fairly certain that Fenerbahce will be booted out next week.

Regarding Lamela, It will take about €30m to get him and I can’t see Wenger approving that.

Rosicky was Arsenal’s best player by a mile the other day.

Koscielny starts. I thought he was suspended?

Didn’t see the game as I was at a wedding but personally I don’t think he’s up to two games in quick succession.

Great display by Arsenal in Istanbul tonight. Proof that no signings are needed and the current squad is strong enough.

In Arsene we trust.

I see it is being reported that Flamini who is a free agent with no other clubs showing much interest in him has asked for 75K a week to rejoin Arsenal

And he’s gotten it. Or something not far off it. Another shrewd piece of business by the Boss.

Only another 5 days to get through now and the war chest is safe till January.

The Mirror running a story that Arsenal have bid £40m for Draxler.

I’d be delighted with that as he is a quality player but it would be a strange. It’s obviously not like Wenger to spend so much on a player but also Schalke made a huge deal of the fact that he signed a new contract in the summer.

However, they have been awful in the first three games so maybe he has decided he wants out. With them signing Kevin Prince Boateng today, it might be that they have already got in the replacement.

What did Schalke pay for Boateng?

Would be surprised if a Draxler deal came anywhere near £40m.

Only about £9m or so I think.

Draxler is a fantastic player, Schalke are in dreadful form so far this season but they’re building a young team and can’t see them being interested in selling Draxler, at this stage of the window particularly.
