Significant news here for Cork GAA. Arguably the Goebbels of the set up and one of the main ā€œold stoogesā€ Cusack spoke about. Also the man who demanded 2 pmayers go without dinner after a game 2 years ago so he and some other fella could eat.

Hopefully this is a put out pasture move and ideally he is there when the provincial set ups fall apart too.
Which they will.

Teddy Mac gone from Sars.

Surely thatā€™s the end of his management career? How many places has he ruined now?

Has he ever actually done halfway okay with a team? How does he keep getting jobs?

did teddy not fare well with Sars in his initial reign as manager with them several years back?

No. Bertie Og was the manager. Teddy was a selector. B.Og knew how to deal with him and TMac was always sent off doing jobs i noticed and often was the man on the other sideline.

Its sad what has happened. I hope this does not have an adverse effect on him. Issues not dealt with from young may be an issue. Very very sad for Cian to deal with this.

Thatā€™s harsh flatty. I thought youā€™d be in better form on the day Angela Kerins lost her case.

Iā€™ll not have my beloved team impugned.

That was Teddies second stint with Sars, he was main man in 03 anyway when they were beaten narrowly by the rockies in a semi, had a few decent enough years then without major success, Newtown were fierce strong then. He won an intermediate with Bandon as well.
Such a pity he didnā€™t just step away altogether with the reputation 100% intact. He should be remembered for his playing days.

Huh?

Nembo would have won an Intermediate with ba don to be fair. They needed a kick up the hole, so maybe he was the right man there, but they should be senior long go.

And 2003 is 14 years ago. 2 generations of players. I think thats the point. Never moved on, couldnā€™t maybe.

Donā€™t get me wrong, a legend on so many levels, but you need to be self aware in that game.

My understanding is that this is the league panel, or close to it:

A. Nash
P. Collins
D. Dalton

C. Spillane
C. Joyce
S. McDonnell
M. Coleman
D. Browne
C. Murphy
M. Ellis
D. Griffin
K. Burke
J. Sheehan
C.Oā€™Sullivan
D. Cahalane

L. McLoughlin
D. Kearney
B. Lawton
C. Oā€™Leary
D. Brosnan
P. Haughney

S. Kingston
B. Cooper
C. Lehane
L. Meade
R. Oā€™Flynn
D. Fitzgibbon
M. Oā€™Halloran
S. Harnedy
A. Cadogan
P. Horgan
S. Oā€™Keeffe
M. Cahalane
L. Oā€™Farrell

Jesus when you compare that to Tipp its frighteningly off the standard.

Good they are spreading the net and picking on form, but alot of those younger lads sre nowhere near the standard required.

My optimism for the football has been completely deflated also. I doubt they will get out of Div.2

Any chance Collins will takeover the keepers jersey this year?
