Bar the excellent terracing, it was a decrepit death-trap.

However, when well populated it had the most brilliant atmosphere of any GAA stadium around. A cauldron of sound with a excellent playing surface too.

The new one looks fine. I won’t be in it for a while but the improvements in spacing through both stands will be welcome.
