The Official Cork GAA 2017 Thread

Dont take it to heart Mick you’re not the worst of em

He should be celebrating the fact that Cobh brought home a couple of Coubty medals and had a selector and coach involved.

How is that mate? I was just going to ask him who Murphy was, then realised he was talking about the Blackrock midfielder and prompty deleted my post.

16k at the game yesterday despite having a divisional side, where is your apology to kev?

He is seething that the two lads play hurling instead of soccerball, and that he got the attendance all wrong.

Ya the divisions have no interest :joy::joy::joy:

How did yesterday compare? After last week’s storms, some of the trees are no longer around, but Ger Millerick would have been a name mentioned on most strolls back into the city.

He was on most observers’ shortlists for man-of-the-match, and the minor from Fr O’Neill’s work rate and striking were certainly noticeable from start to finish.

New Cork manager John Meyler is no doubt well aware of Millerick from the Rebel minors’ run to the All-Ireland final last season: the youngster might want to be keeping next January and February free for the step up to senior.

Your brother is not the only one who doesn’t fully understand the leadership and influence of Harnedy and/or can be a little fooled by the typical Cork live of “a great young fella”.
The fact is he was horsed out of it quite a bit. Understandable. But Harnedy was everywhere. And Murphy was the same.

What is so surprising and frustrating is to see with 3 of the 4 teams yesterday was the entire management on the sideline.

If The Rockies had someone sending messages down it could have made all the difference. It was clear the corner backs for Imokilly were all over the shop and balls down the inside channel and wings were to the Rockies advantage.

Instead though they stopped what was working and just rained ball down on top of full forward. When he finally won a couple they took him off. A fair bit of naivity from both Nemo and Barrs too.

The fact that the Barrs went completely man-to-man really seemed to suit Nemo. They needed to play deep at times. 2 of the goals came with only 4/5 Barrs players in their own half. It was very silly

Frank to be replaced.

By Frank.

The only man fit to take his place. Frank’s leaving in a box.

tremendous news, Cork gaa is in safe hands

Eminently sensible to retain the services of an experienced and savvy runaĂ in the context of Cork having new senior management teams in both hurling and football.

No heave so?

It was the only logical choice. There is nobody more qualified or capable of carrying out the role

Does Frank not have a family member trained in to take over the family business?
