:grinning: :grinning:

Neser is coming into this Test Match in good form having laid waste to the England Lions in the warm up. Still expect a double century from Root to earn a draw.

theyll be lucky not to lose by an innings at this rate

Rain stops play in Adelaide.

Australia unlikely to enforce follow on if it comes to that.

sandpaper boy would just love to rub it in

Incoming update from @thedancingbaby that he got a WhatsApp message from @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy that there’s a high probability of lightening in Adelaide at 9pm in mid December and he had predicted no more than 10 overs because of lightening.

England caught their first break of the series so far, the last 17 overs of the night session getting rained off. They would have lost a few more wickets if play had gone on.

Batting conditions will be good tomorrow if they can avoid the initial onslaught of the first few overs. They’ll need Root to score big if they are to get a draw out of this. Root is just flogging himself to death though having assumed spinning duties now as well.

Yep it’s heading for a draw unless Root goes cheap in the first innings. Lyon will have a big part to play given Root was more threatening with the ball than the seamers at times.

Root could easily be dismissed cheaply. Like many a great batsman he still needs a bit of time to play himself in and is vulnerable early. God knows what state his head is in, heading up and presiding over this utter shit show.

They’ve a number seven batting at four. They’re fucked.

England 64/2

Half century third wicket partnership was brought up off 71 deliveries. Runs flowing fairly quickly for England so far today.

Nathan Lyon coming into the Australia attack now.

England 118/2

Back to back century partnerships for Malan and Root.

England 140/2 at lunch.

Good morning for England. 123 runs on the board and more importantly no wickets lost.

Partnership currently worth 128. Malan 68 n.o. and Root 57 n.o.

150/3

Cameron Green picks up the wicket of Root.

Pressure building on England. 27 consecutive dot deliveries since the wicket. Another quick wicket here and you’d fear an England batting collapse.

It was coming. Malan departs on 80. Starc picks up the wicket.

England 157/4
