Was it FTA in India

Dunno. Iā€™d imagine so.
Thereā€™s a billion quid wagered on an average test match on the subcontinent.

quietly optimistic. To be honest I have been going ape all week up in Wimbledon, the craic is unreal

@Tassotti @GeoffreyBoycott best of luck today crickets coming home with an Irishman leading them to glory

NZ win the toss & elect to Bat.

Fixed that for you

7.6 million euro matched on Betfair on the match winner market.

Box office.

I sense very little hype about this even though England are playing a World Cup final in England

The tournament really hasnā€™t captured the public imagination at all due to being on pay TV - that and the shameful format which has excluded developing countries

Itā€™s all a far cry from the 2005 Ashes which genuinely did capture the imagination with its free to air coverage on Channel 4

Cricket badly needs to look at it its TV and development models because itā€™s excluding a lot of people, almost by design it seems

Breakthrough for Eng as Woakes gets Guptil, NZ review.

Looks clear cut out call.
Big wicket for Eng as NZ started extremely well.

NZ 29-1
6.2 overs

Trend in this tournament has been team batting first to successfully defend total posted. England need to bowl with discipline here.

England also batted second in their previous two World Cup final defeats

This is looking like a comfortable win for NZ

Massive call from Morgan here to review, big big wicket

No need to panic for NZ yet

England got Aamir Sohail and Ramiz Raja out early in the 1992 final and Pakistan recovered

Need a couple of good knocks from the upper middle order though

Need to go at least another 10 overs with no more losses too

Plunkett plunders the Black Caps again.
NZ 118-3
26.5 overs

NZā€™s first boundary for over an hour

And like the buses, two in a row
