Renee, Bob and Turlough basically have a lock in in McCoys, after Bob gathers all Renees belongings in an attempt to throw her out(all Renees belongings take up half a bin bag).
To cut along story short Bob gave Turlough 100k in a cheque after he made contact with Bobs dead son(larry i think). Larry spoke through Turlough and jeered at Bob the poor cunt telling him he watched him drown and did fuck all about it.
Something tells me Turlough was codding, something tells me also that Bob knew Turlough was codding, a bit of bluff and counter bluffing going on but either way the vagrant walked out the door with 100k and Bob keeps Renee.
I haven’t witnessed a lock in like it myself .
100k…Fuck sake…He could have gotten someone to kill him for a lot less

Theyre were trying to get us to think that Bob believed the hype i think,it was a multi take off of several different iconic films there was heaps of The Field in there with bits and pieces of Sixth Sense,The Exorcist,Ghost,The Lion King i started gettin confused after a while, twas a nice day off for most of the cast anyway, ill miss Bob.
there were so many layers i still haven’t figured out the fuck what was going on, ill need a few more nights to sleep on it.
the bit where young larry was talking through Turlough was definitely Exorcist quality, i don’t blame Bob one bit for falling for it
Is Bob going out of it?
Louis was a coke head shocker tonight…
Missed it puke…whats the story with Bob now?
Nothing new really came out tonight, the two of them(Bob and Renee) forgave each other, Bob is on about selling the pub…Renee said she was jealous that Larry contacted him yet floyd didn’t contact her
so will they go back for a 2nd bite and another 100k then…may as well give turlough the pub altogether and be done with it.
Good story line developing with Keith ringo and the butch young one with the red hair…I would say it turns out that Keith is the father
Is Christy sticking Carol yet?
That would be a good storyline.
I reckon that Christy the cute hoor will put down on his list that he wants a hop off Carol…
G’wan Ringo to fuck…That’s the style of it…
yknow jimmy the mechanic is working in a bar in queens now was goin to put it in the celeb spottin thread but couldnt be bothered
I don’t know if this has been mentioned but I heard an ad on RTE Radio today for a vacant role on Fair City. They’re looking for a story editor to develop plots apparently and details are available on www.rte.ie/careers.
that Una’s sister has something about her all right, and she had some spring in her step when she arrived into McCoys the dirty bitch
He’s in Queens now?? He was working in the Joshua Tree last I heard.
Anyone know what kind of cash they pull in from Fair City? I presume Bella would be somewhere near the top end, I don’t watch it enough to know who’s near the bottom. Leo hopefully, I remember him being atrocious.

RTE is paying some of the actors in its top soap ‘Fair City’ only 432 a day . . . although it earns the station in the region of 7m each year.
But despite its earnings, ‘Fair City’ costs nearly twice that amount to produce.
New figures reveal that actors on the long-running show such as Orlaith Rafter (Robyn) and David Mitchell (Jimmy) are getting paid a basic average shift rate of 432 each day they are on set.
But the national broadcaster has revealed that it charges between 4,000 and 7,000 for a 30-second ad slot because events in Carrickstown continue to prove a huge draw for viewers.
And with an average of 50 commercial slots sold around each show, it is estimated that ‘Fair City’ pulls in more than 20m each year in revenue for RTE.
The show costs the national broadcaster over 13m to produce, but it is getting more expensive.
The figures, which were released under the Freedom of Information Act, show that one half-hour episode cost, on average, 61,530 to produce when wages and other production costs are taken into consideration.
The cost of an episode averaged 59,374 in 2005 and 56,777 in 2004.
But bosses at Montrose are not convinced that selling ‘Fair City’ to television stations overseas is a viable revenue stream for the future.
“[It is] made specifically for the domestic market with no concessions in terms of language or themes for an international market,” producers said.
The soap has been a regular fixture on RTE since 1989 and now goes out four times a week.
The drama is consistently in the top 10 most watched list.
For the week ending February 25, ‘Fair City’ was the seventh most-popular programme on Irish television, pulling in 515,000 viewers.
However, the national broadcaster declined to release information on the individual earnings of the likes of Tony Tormey, who plays Paul, or Tatiana Oulliankina who plays Lana. “All actors are free agents and disclosure of their earnings on Fair City could prejudice their negotiations for other acting work,” it said.
Two years ago it gave out some salary scales revealing that two stars received between 90,000 and 100,000 that year.
RTE refused a request for copies of correspondence between RTE and the actors union, Equity, over pay negotiations.
