The Official Irish Times Best Places to Holiday in Ireland Thread
Im going to a wedding in Wexford next week

its in dunbrody house

anywhere worth seeing around there?

is it in new ross?
As soon as the wedding is over take the ferry from Ballyhack to Passage and enjoy the delightful villages and coastline of South East Waterford.

They won’t want @carryharry’s type in the Cliff House. Maybe he should try Galway or Clare, or West Cork. Places that would be more welcoming to hippies

Interesting. Good places to stay?
Things to do?

Westport sounds okay, cunt of a drive though.
Have done Cork & Kerry so not options.

Time off in early September.

True and it would be a good base to spend a day touring around Scarriff and Tuamgraney

Maybe take in Luban Dige as well!

Feakle are really missing a trick by not having a “Feakle Feeking Festival”

@carryharry would love it up there, it is full of crusties

We’d love you to come across Harry , I got 3 left over cases of @Macs craft beer from the Doolin beer festival and you’re more than welcome to them to get you going

Picking mushrooms?

I thought they had a Feakle Matter festival.

I know the fella running the Pucan, has renewed his lease for another 10 years in July, He sunk a huge amount of money into it a few months ago but its staring to pay itself back already.
He’s done a fine job. I’m sure he’s hopping he grabs whatever tourists are in the hotels that side of town and stop them crossing Eyre Square.
That was good.

We paid 170 for two which was the wedding rate.
I was at a stag there earlier in the year and paid 170 alright for a Saturday night although the best man was a useless fook and left the arrangements until the last minute. The room I had last week was far superior to the one that was given to us at the stag. Westport accomodation on a weekend charge serious dough.

Any recommendations for Wicklow?

Druids Glen
