Still waiting for somebody to pinch me and wake me from my glorious slumber. The sheer joy and elation that was felt when Jon Moss blew final whistle was something else. It wasn’t relief. No, it was elation. A tremendous sense of satisfaction permeates the air today.
I’ve said it before, but it’s worth repeating. All good managers are also lucky ones. Not only is Cooper a highly talented manager, he also attracts a lot of luck. For me the VAR no penalty decision was wrong, but we got away with it. Just like we got away with Sheff United battering us in the second half of the semi. Then we had more luck in the shootout. Cooper just attracts good karma.
Current squad will need investing in, no doubt. It could struggle to stay up without at least 5-6 quality reinforcements. But we can worry about that later.

It’s an odd one I always think. A squad gets promotion to the epl and straightaway the talk is of firing half of them out the door.
I think Cooper is at the basic level a very fair man, he will give the existing squad every chance to prove itself at the higher level. But it would be naive to think we don’t need quality additions, players either experienced at PL or other European top flight level.
