Here we go baby!!! The Famous club is back in town
0-0
Newcastle on the front foot for most of that but not created any clear cut chances. We could do with stop giving the ball away
Shite
Dean Henderson is terrible
Fook it long way to go need a result against the next week to settle into it
We have a clearer picture of things after yesterday. It will be a challenge to bed in all these new players but it can be done. The positive things I took were the performances of Henderson, Williams, McKenna, Colback, Toffolo and Surridge. We know Henderson can do it at PL level but i wouldn’t have any worries for the other four lads either. Colback has 200 odd PL game experience.
On the negative side, Niakhate and Worrall looked off the pace, I’ve said it before that Worrall isn’t up to it at this level and i’m probably being proved right. Niakhate looked nervy and was beaten to ball for second goal…i’ll cut him some slack as he’s new to the club and could yet be a very important player for us. O’Brien was over-ran and just gave the ball away too much. BJ wasn’t in the game at all…such was his remit in the Championship to be anonymous for 85 mins and then do some magic, probably won’t get away with it in the big league. Lingard, well, he’ll need time. Did some good things but had very little support from midfield and fellow attackers. Passing was poor at times.
The usual idiots on Twitter are panicking but no point this early. What is clear is that Cooper will need to pick up at least 12-15 points from our first 10 games, which makes the likes of West Ham at home next weekend an absolute must win, given that we have a very tough run of games after that.
Henderson looked dogshit bad.
Everyone has their opinion.
Yours is wrong.
If you say so
No one else can.
Hendersons distribution was top class yesterday
Reports we are willing to offer Wolves up to £40m for Gibbs-White.
Dane Murphy must be pulling his hair out with these Greeks thinking they’re playing fucking Championship Manager.
Gibbs White is Coopers boy. Thats as much an invesment in the manager as the player should it happen
I get what you’re saying, and you are right that Cooper wants him, he had him at Swansea. But it’s the usual crazy money for a homegrown English player.
I’d be far happier if they secured a shirt sponsor and brought some income into the club, rather than overspending on players whose fees don’t match their PL performances.
If Cooper is happy I am happy
