Amazing the difference a week can make. Things are certainly coming along under Nuno. Montiel and Danilo probably had their best games yet for us. Montiel looks a different player to the one we saw against Burnley on his debut. Elanga is finally starting to pur. Gibbs White and Yates ran their socks off. Aina was a constant threat from full back - he’s my POTY thus far. Niakhate was solid. Domingues took the goal well but was played out of position and it showed. Wood toiled hard and gave us at outlet.
If only Turner could learn to kick the ball, we wouldn’t have to go after a GK in January.
United were so poor though, important to put that into the context. Eriksen, Rashford, Fernandes were shadows of themselves. Thought we got great joy off running at Dalot and Wan Bissacka………two very ordinary full backs.
Encouraging stuff, but let’s not get too carried away. Still plenty to improve on.
