Let’s not get too excited. It was only Man United.
Amazing the difference a week can make. Things are certainly coming along under Nuno. Montiel and Danilo probably had their best games yet for us. Montiel looks a different player to the one we saw against Burnley on his debut. Elanga is finally starting to pur. Gibbs White and Yates ran their socks off. Aina was a constant threat from full back - he’s my POTY thus far. Niakhate was solid. Domingues took the goal well but was played out of position and it showed. Wood toiled hard and gave us at outlet.
If only Turner could learn to kick the ball, we wouldn’t have to go after a GK in January.
United were so poor though, important to put that into the context. Eriksen, Rashford, Fernandes were shadows of themselves. Thought we got great joy off running at Dalot and Wan Bissacka………two very ordinary full backs.
Encouraging stuff, but let’s not get too carried away. Still plenty to improve on.
No, that’s fernandes. Full stop.

Forest losing 6 starters to AFCON?
7 albeit Taiwo is out injured regardless
Taiwo/Niakhate/Sangare/Ainé/Kouyate/Aurier/Boly
On a given day only 3 or 4 might start
Niakhate, Aina and Boly are the only real losses there.
CAF need to stop this nonsense of holding European leagues to ransom in the middle of their season. Hold the fuckin think in summer like every other major tournament.
May I remind you when the last World Cup was played
It gets quite hot in Africa in the summer, pal. With cup games etc the clubs aren’t too badly off. Get on with it
Couldn’t give a toss to be honest. That’s their problem. Why are CAF the only footballing body that play their premier competition in the middle of the footballing season?
A once off to feed FIFA greed and corruption.
The Asian Cup is also taking place at the same time.
Not half as many Asian players plying their trade in Europe. Wouldn’t have same effect.
Tell that to Spurs and Wolves.
You’d be very foolish to think they wont do this again when it suits.
You’d be very foolish to think they wont do this again when it suits.
They will. But it will be the exception rather than the rule.
Has the City Ground flooded today?
They are just building a moate around it to underpin its fortress status
