Iād hope for another go in England for him but youāre probably right. I thought the first few months at Spurs was exhilarating football. If he gets another go round, he needs to choose very carefully.
Itās possible Spurs broke his heart a bit as the couple of games I saw with Forest, I think he may have set up quite conservatively and he could be falling between two stools. Heās sixty years old, gotten way further than he ever couldāve thought, has more money than he can ever spend. Maybe he should step away.
I thought Gerard was astute not to go back to Rangers. Celtic are as poor as I have ever seen him and Brighton man has gone in at Hearts.
He got a new manager bounce at Spurs which lasted exactly 10 league games. 26 points from 30 and top of the table. It all started to unravel in Game 11 at home to Chelsea. Opposition teams had figured him and Angeball out at that stage and it was 1 and three quarters league seasons of grimness after that.
Youād have to admire this Ange lad. Did as he promised at Spurs until they sacked him. Took a job with these highly suspect outfit and gets the chop in 6 weeks. Heāll get a grand exit package and not a bother on him. Aussie 1 Forest 0.
Forest should be grand. Theyāve 5 or 6 grand players but the summer striker signings look like duds. Need to go back to Chris Wood. They really miss Elanga.
No later than this morning he was rumoured to be on the cusp of joining Glasgow Rangers.
Of course itās a great opportunity for Roy Keane to turn back the clock and rejuvenate the club that set him on his path to fame. Heās waffling enough about Clough of late so he has a grĆ” for themā¦.
Ange looks jaded. He bounced back too quickly from Spurs sacking and he should have had the cop on to realise that the way Forest played under Nuno was wholly opposite to the way Ange plays and that it would not work, at least in short/medium term. Of course he could have been clever too and knew that when it fails itāll be a handy Ā£4-5m in compensation for a few months work. He needs to take the next 9-12 months off and return in a farmers league like Portugal or somewhere.
I find it hard to believe Mancini will leave Saudi Arabia for Forest as heās on obscene money with little pressure. This seems like a load of hassle to come back to Europe for and less money. Itās got Dyche name all over it as theyāre in a relegation fight now. The owner obviously wants sexy appointments so who knows.
