Karanka left the club yesterday. This is a great pity. He had signed some very good players and I thought we were playing good football. Up to seventh and taking big scalps along the way. Yes, a couple of slow patches, but he could have been hugely successful if given time.
We haven’t started and finished a season with the same manager since 2010 / 11.
The speculation about a successor isn’t exactly filling me with joy and anticipation.
Slavisa Jokanovic seems tp be the primary target, which would be good in that this would mean the secondary target, Martin O’Neill doesn’t get the job.
I wonder will we finish the season higher than seventh.
I doubt it.
As to the successor I would take anyone but o’Neill
