The Official, Right & Honourable FA Cup Thread - 2014 Edition

They showed exactly why they are double European champions today.

you cant beat tradition in this competition.
Similar scenes yesterday as well in Villa Park, Paul Lambert has learned that disrespecting the famous old trophy in the spiritual home of the semi final is sacrosanct and it was a team lead by Nigel Clough who put him very much in his place

Liverpool 2-0 up at Bournemouth with 20 minutes left.

Moses and Sturridge with the goals. Second one a well worked effort set up by Luis.

Skrtel looking like Brush Shiels here with a black cap on.

I know the pool are two up but if you didn’t know which team were in the prem you would have a hard job picking the team that is…
The main difference is the two boys up front for the pool…pure quality…Bournemouth had a stone wall peno not given and Liverpool went down the other end and scored to make it 2-0.

Liverpool have been playing like that since Christmas- An amount of injuries have stopped any momentum building up and the squad is fairly bare … Only for the lads up top the season would be over… I think Everton will get a result Tuesday if they take the game to Liverpool… Play like they did against Stoke though and you can forget it.

Andy Townsend has just given Eunan O’Kane MOTM. I watched most of this game purely to see him play as he’s been tipped for an Ireland call up. I wasn’t impressed with him at all, in contrast to Townsend. Liverpool haven’t been impressive at all but they’re 2-0 up in injury time.

And the Reds romp on to the next round. Outstanding.

FA Cup - Liverpool
Carling Cup - Sunderland
BPL - Manchester City

Pile on

Keane reckons the two Liverpool centre backs are “shocking”.

Dixon reckons they won’t finish in the top 4 because of their defence and a lack of midfield creativity.

I agree with Dixon.

City 2 down to Watford at home!!

On tv anywhere?

No.

I’ll cut you you cunt.

Kun

2-2

Aleks makes it 3-2 to City and they look like they’re about to slip back down the running order on tonights FA Cup Highlights show.

Jeff Stelling reckons the only giant killing now might be at Wigan where the cup holders lead the mighty Crystal Palace 2-1 following a James McClean strike.

Everton will need to play a hell of a lot better than they did against WBA if they’re to get anything out of the game. It was probably their worst performances of the season, and they played more like the Everton of David Moyes than the Everton of Roberto Martinez…A worrying sign given the way Moyes’ sides used to shit themselves at Anfield. We badly need Coleman and Barkley back if we are to have any hope of victory.

Anyway, they can start getting in the right frame of mind for it by picking up a win in the cup at Stevenage this evening, Mc Geady makes his first start for the Blues…No fuck-ups now, Roberto.

Kuuuuuuuun hat trick, my word, my word indeed.

Aiden starting for us.

Andy Gray on commentary. Is that new?
