67 Priests have died in Italy so far bringing assistance to the sick and the dying. They are widely disrespected in Western society sadly, hopefully a reflection on this attitude will come out of this.

I have no doubt that many priests are great men who do fantastic work for their communities (that was certainly my experience growing up). But are you seriously wondering why a representative of the Roman Catholic church would be disrespected?
