It’s not particularly. The Church always vigorously defends it’s financial position no matter the morality of it
In fifth year in school we did a module on near death experiences. Out of body experiences, people seeing surgeons working on them, moving through a tunnel into the light etc. Lots of research on this from doctors who looked into it and the testimony of people is very similar in what they experience. One brain surgeon discovered that there’s a section of the brain that if he stimulated it, people would have a near death experience, without the heart stopping and revival or any of that. So this spiritual experience is hard wired into us. I find that fascinating. Always stuck with me.
