First half is excellent; unfortunately the epic fantasy stuff was really undercooked. The two parents are the high points.

Trope, a convention or a predictable stereotypical representation of a character or storyline. like you said, the fantasy stuff was undercooked, completely not teed up or developed, but you see it and know what it’s supposed to be because you’ve seen it so many times elsewhere before.

Eternals is alright. Not amazing or anything. Not flat out bad. A bit dull at times mostly Gemma Chan’s lead character who is a bit lifeless. I liked Barry Keoghans character, has a bit of depth to him. Him and Lauren Ridloffs character are probably the best of them.
A lot of world building going on so in time it may be viewed better when the whole phase is revealed.
Mid credit really sets the MCU going in one direction. I really enjoyed the randomness of it.
I’m being a bit puntastic there. Harry Styles is cast as Starfox aka Eros, brother of Thanos.
Post credit was a bit more world building.
The voice off screen is Mahershala Ali’s first appearance as Blade.
