Conor reckons Aldi’s Roisins Honeycomb Chocolate Egg is the one to go for this Easter. €8.99
You’ve excelled yourself here Fagan.
I look forward to exciting revelations on olive oil, homemade jams and fake tans on this thread.
Thanks Juhniallo. I will be conducting a weekly update on Conor’s findings with other occasional reports on Conor’s work as a consumer watchdog.
If Conor ever does a review on Peanut butter (Crunchy only) or Coconut Oil (Organic only), will you please keep me posted Fagan pal.
Excellent piece in Saturday’s times about Etihad’s customer service. Worth noting if any afficiandos of the Internal Business Travel are conducting business in Dubai.
As such, I should report that Conor favoured the Aldi product (fish fingers) last week as well and I will be monitoring his column closely for pro German bias, perceived or actual.
I had a large bar of Roisin’s Butterscotch Milk Chocolate from Aldi a few weeks ago and I thought it was pretty good.
Stay right away from their crisps however. I bought a bag of “Passions” cheese and onion, took one bite and threw the whole thing in the bin due to the overpowering taste of vegetable oil. After a bad experience with Super Valu own brand crisps in 2005 I vowed never to skimp on crisps again and I now remember why I made that vow. I will keep it this time.
The smokey bacon ones you get in aldi are nice. Probably smoky horse in reality, but tasty nonetheless.
My lady comes into contact with this lad regular enough through work. She says he’s an absolute child of a man.
His byline photo is hilarious. Conor Pope - On Your Side.
What a hero.
Conor tackled the issue of crisps today. He reckoned Bill andMicks salt and vinegar were best.
This prick tainted my weekend. If I see him on the street I’ll be giving him a box. A stupid prick of a fella.
I am reading between the lines here.
What other crisps were reviewed for him to reach that conclusion?
Yes, we need more information than that Fagan.
Was he comparing them to Monster Munch or Kettle?

Exactly. It’s not like comparing health insurance or moisturiser, this is a very serious statement to make.
Second place was O’Donnels which got 4 stars. So we were at the higher end of the market. Can’t remember the other losing finalists.
Any plans to elaborate on this Thrawneen?
No offence Fagan, but if you’re going to start a thread dedicated to a topic sloppy reporting like this just isn’t on.
Nah, I’ve probably said too much already. Just wanted to let it be known that he’s a cunt, rather than the cuddly, crisp-reviewing consumer champion that he makes himself out to be. Check out his by-line photo, ffs. What a dickhead.
Did you sort everything out with the missus Thraw?
