I get the feeling the Everton fans are thinking the same given the fact that they’re singing “are you watching David Moyes”. Baines must be thanking his lucky stars.
Both playing very well so far. Coleman his usual live-wire self up and down the wing. McCarthy has been sharp and snapping into the challenges around midfield, also unlucky not to score after dispossessing a Newcastle defender on the edge of the box, seen his shot pushed away by Krul.
Cabaye gets one back for Newcastle with a curled effort from outside the box, McCarthy very lax in closing him down.
Coleman has been outstanding so far. Way better than Baines.
Absolutely, Baines has been poor enough by his own standards. You could say Coleman has been the more impressive full back so far this season, not just tonight.

Do you think a top 6 finish is realistic for us this season? We would have to finish ahead of one of Liverpool, United or Spurs as I think City, Chelsea and Arsenal have top 3 wrapped up.
