The Official TFK Everton F.C. Supporters Thread

Duncan is a grand man to dig two performances out of a team as a caretaker. Beyond that, he’d be brutally exposed. He’s a raaaaaaaarrrrr man brought up in a tabloid, anti-intellectual culture like almost much every other UK footballer of his generation.

I recall Stuart Pearce taking over as caretaker manager of Nottingham Forest when Frank Clark was sacked with Forest bottom of the table. Forest beat Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal 2-1 and Pearce was acclaimed as a genius manager in waiting and he was given the job until the end of the season. Forest finished bottom. Pearce later stole a Lampardian style living as Manchester City manager.

Dyche has done a grand job with Everton up to now but circumstances look to be running away from his control. Everton probably need some unheard of German or Austrian guru who will energise them enough to stave off relegation until the relegation battle cycle starts again.

The battle has already started. I think they’re serious candidates to go down.

Definitely

Oh dear, that’s a terrible result today. 2-0 up in the 87th minute at home and end up losing. :face_with_peeking_eye:

Assume they are moving to the new stadium next season? Would be a fair downer to be trying to shifty season tickets and boxes for it in the championship

I was watching it and they were cruising 2-0. I switched over to watch Forest v Wolves. Couldn’t believe the result.

Very sad to see Dychey going.

An impossible job that he did well over the last few years. A decision that Everton could regret in May.

WTF, who sacks Dyche?!! Classic Everton. They’re fucked.

Ah stop they’re god awful. Good riddance. Don’t even look like scoring in most matches. Must be soul destroying for their supporters watching that crap every week.
A new manager mightnt get better results but the style of football couldn’t be any worse

Spot on, pal. It’s not just defensive, it’s…it’s…it’s nothing. There’s no intent to do anything attacking or progressive & it looks like there isn’t any coaching focus on becoming proficient at the things that mean something to supporters such as scoring goals.

In a modern world where kids have access to Sega Mega Drives, space hoppers & he-man toys, you can’t manage like that. You need to put out a team that captures the imagination. Football is to be lived & enjoyed, not tolerated & endured.

Hopefully managers like Dyche, Arteta & Pulis have had their day.

Imagine being an Everton fan for the last 10 years (or maybe even 15). Has anything remotely exciting ever happened bar maybe the odd brush with a relegation or Europa league spot.

That Just Stop Oil lad locking himself to the post or signing Samuel Eto’o

Mourinho would be a brilliant appointment for Everton. In the interim I wish Seamus Coleman the very best.

You’d have to wonder what Ancelotti was thinking when he joined them.

We’ll find out now if he’s as good as they say he is. It’s a great opportunity for him to make a name for himself.

Has he a coaching badge or whatever you call it?

Coleman has the Uefa A licence, which qualifies him up to Championship level

Baines has the Pro Licence done

Hard to believe James played for them not that long ago.

Chance to get an exciting new manager and they go for Moyes. Jesus weeps.

Exciting won’t keep them up.
