Good that you got a picture because they will be bad firewood in the not too distant future

Cut and be done with them
Replant

Could you still use the roots for hurleys or are they fucked as well?

Bamboo hurleys seem to be what we are facing in the future twill be sad to see, but its looking like theres no choice

If you caught it early you could. The felling license disaster meant that it couldn’t be done in time for as good as every commercial ash plantation. A complete waste and totally unnecessary

€5 euro a kilo for that neck meat in a few weeks. What a time to be alive and caring for nature.

I saw a docket for 5.28 Inc QA last week, try an agent if you know one

I’d say you know Seaneen in Tubber? There’s always a slight drop before my lads go in August/September.

I do indeed. I dealt with him recently. If you can get them into U+ you will be rewarded handsomely. There will be a lot of light cattle come that time of year with fert and meal costs etc

I only finish off grass, low cost is the way to go with beef these days. The grading is nearly entirely dependant on where they go. I often get caught with over weight cattle (420+) so the fuck you over on the grading.

You’re dead right. It’s a year to survive in general.
It’s a pain to be caught with out of spec cattle but there might be a bit of wiggle room this year due to demand. I sent one that was miles out of spec (480 hanging) and got paid right for him

@Little_Lord_Fauntleroy and myself would be interested in purchasing it to rewild it, to offset our jet setting lifestyles

It’s fucking wild enough already

Would you have any use for these young lads Julio?

The best of luck with the sale - difficult to see the changes but it’s the right thing and the right time. Tidy parcels like yours are making wicked money.

Best of luck with the sale. It’s just a bit of land at the end of the day.

They’ve the house ready to go too. Said they’ll do a meal deal if someone interested in both and has the right offer.
