The Official TFK Farming Thread

Nearly all farms producing grass are carbon neutral as they are sequestering carbon into the soil, but this is ignored as the green fools think “cows bad, no cow good.” It’s all a game of carbon credits.

Did I read correctly that we won’t be assigned any carbon credits until 2030 at the earliest?

Yep.

One could argue that the Slurry TAMS grant has been a pure cod in reality.

  • Farmers buying New Tanks with Dribble Bars or Trailing Shoes.
The steel, energy to form it, galvanising or painting it and all for most use 3 times a year.
Machinery sitting idle for 10 months of the year.

  • All the metal being produced when in reality if farmers had to organise a proper receipt from a registered contractor the Slurry would be applied properly.
Most intensive Farms haven’t time to spread slurry at the busy time of Jan and organise contractors anyway.
The grant suited no one bar the Manufacturers of the Tankers, Attachments & Macerators.
    Plus the Farm Machinery Dealers.

  • Contractors who specialise in machinery works amazingly weren’t allowed the Grant unless they had Herd numbers but Vat implications hurt that too.

We really do have some serious idiots in the department.

We have a byproduct which should be used as a digestive for Land Application like done across Mainland Europe or to provide Energy for power demands.

Every farm building should be Grant aided to harness the Sunshine & catch the Water from the sky.

Not for metal on axles to spread waste on the land.

When you can provide me with a recipe for soylent green that tastes like a ribeye I’ll stop producing some of the best food in the world

Its not about producing luxury food , its about doing the right thing

You mean pesticides and monocrop industrial agriculture.
