The Official TFK Father's Issues Thread. I don't know how they do it

How long ago was it you were calling lads bullshitters when they talked about kids not sleeping, Mac?

About 3 months I’d say.

You should get to bed mate, another tough one in store tonight maybe. Dose the little fella up to bits. Baby nurofen as soon as he wakes up. One and a half recommended doses.

Spoke too soon myself. The little one has got colic. Been like a zombie the last couple of days. Jesus that colic is nasty, heart breaking watching the little screaming and not being able to anything for her.

That can be a bad one alright. Some kids get it, some don’t. Don’t think mine had it for very long.

Sheen Falls?
The Europe?

Colic… its a form of torture for little ones… just make sure she not refluxing (i.e. regurgitating) acidy milk… Its excruciating and they roar inconsolably after it. Our little one had to get medicated for it and she is a like a different baby now

Signing in again. Second son born at the weekend. Sitting here quietly… Baby, mother and two year old all asleep and am enjoying the tranquillity.

Lovely stuff. It’s for children like yours that we moved TFK to this new platform. Your kids won’t have to deal with pages.

Congrats corner back, another Biffo added to the population

In other news I was in Supervalu earlier with the youngest who has a bit of a hearing disorder, but is sharp as a tack. Loves mind puzzles, mathematical problems, really enjoys just doing any sort of problem, regardless of where we are. We were having great crack anyway, but some auld curmudgeonly cunt gave us a fierce scowl while were were nailing the apples and oranges problem, upset the child something shocking. Fucking Victor Meldrew type cunt.

You should have called the fucker out

My lad was assessed for dyspraxia. Doesn’t have it but the occupational therapist has sent him for physio as he has a weak core and tight hamstrings. He will be posting here once he can learn to google.

Off to bring our lad to see a consultant on Thursday. Think he has silent reflux or some other stomach/digestive ailment but need to get checked out. Permanently twisting and turning in his sleep until he farts or burps. Nightmare to try and get wind up. Lucky to get 2 hours sleep in a stretch out of him. Have changed grub/formula, given baby gaviscon etc to no avail.

If its any consolation our eldest lady was the same. The only formula that worked was enfamil AR (anti reflux). Small bit more expensive but well worth it. Its a thick formula so you’d need a clevamomma mixer to mix it properly.

maybe you have tried it ?

As an aside. Its back to bottles for me come January… The final addition to the KP household is due just after xmas.
