The Official TFK Ireland 1912-1923 Thread

Funnily enough I was talking to the family of a person who attended the dance last month. Said that it was very traumatic and just not talked about afterwards. Conversation was shut down whenever it was mentioned.

There had been ample warning that the RIC knew about it and should not have gone ahead.

I never heard of that incident…ffg up to their tricks from the off. Jobs for the boys… And girls in RTE

Aware that there was an “Army Mutiny” but no details.

Did the IRB die out after this?

Allegedly the IRB dissolved itself after the mutiny in 1924. However it being a secret society we can’t know for sure and there is a theory that it is still is in existence.

Ireland not falling to another Civil War from 1923 to when DeValera cracked down on the IRA was some achievement by the various politicians in government.

Got the Dan Breen book for a €1 on the Kindle, I’d forgotten how comically self aggrandising it was.

While I see it…

Anyone have experience of publishing an ebook?

I’d say he could point you in the right direction.
